Free Choice: Week 5

The novel Liar by Justine Larbalestier is a very good novel you will not even want to put it down.  The novel uses English languages which relates to our everyday life. There were an issue about the text that really confused me was the After,Before, Family History and etc. The main character was Micah an African American, who was a senior and High School, a compulsive liar and she dated a guy name Zach, She loved Biology. Micah determined she will stop lying but it’s hard because she needs to keep lying to protect her family secret. When she first started her new high school she let people think she was a boy even her teacher in she told students that she was a born a hermaphrodite. One day a counselor comes in and says that Zach body has been found that turns her life upside down. So, one day Micah wears a mase because Zach have been absent from class for a few days and she haven’t seen him nowhere around.
Zach real girlfriend name is Sarah who cries eveytime someone says his name. She really loved and cared about him. Lastly, Micah father is black who always reminds her in the morning to take her pill which irritates her alot and her mother is white, the way she talks is embarrassing. Micah has a brother name Jordan who finds away to get on her her nerves most of the time he sneaks into her room and touch her things and steals Zach's sweater.

  1. Marilyn, Make sure to resist the temptation to summarize. Instead, tell us your interpretation of the story, characters, setting. Or, you can talk about connections that you are making between the story and the "real world."

As you read further into the novel, the format might become less of an issue...
